About

Built for the way field service teams actually work.

Engineer OS started as a custom build for a UK fire and security contractor. They were running their team on WhatsApp threads, Word forms, and a JobLogic instance that nobody actually used because the mobile app was unusable in the field.

We built them something better. A phone-first PWA the engineers actually opened, digital forms that worked one-handed in the rain, and a job feed that admins and engineers were both looking at. After a few months it was obvious the same tool fit dozens of small UK field service operations: fire, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, refrigeration. Anyone with five to a hundred engineers and a calendar full of jobs.

That’s Engineer OS. Same core product, multi-tenant from day one, sold per-engineer-per-month. Modern stack, mobile-first by default, and priced to undercut JobLogic by half.

Why we built it

The incumbent tools haven't moved.

JobLogic and ServiceM8 are 2008 products.

Built for the desktop, with a mobile view bolted on later. The engineer flow shows it. It works, technically, but it doesn’t feel like an app you’d choose to use.

The new ones are too expensive or too thin.

The newer entrants either price themselves for North America (£60–£100/engineer) or skip the bits that actually matter to UK trades (VAT, certs, PPM, customer portal).

The mobile-first promise is rarely real.

Most “mobile-first” SaaS is actually web-first with a mobile-responsive layer. We built the engineer side for the phone first and ported up. The difference is felt in the field.

Multi-tenancy from day one.

We started as a single-tenant app for one customer, then rebuilt the tenancy model into the database itself. Your data isn’t isolated by an ifstatement, it’s isolated by Postgres row-level security on every table.
