The customer portal
How your customers sign in to see their quotes, invoices and jobs, accept or reject quotes, and download PDFs.
Updated 10 October 2026
The customer portal gives your customers their own view of the quotes, invoices and jobs you have for them. It's available on the Growth and Scale plans, and during your free trial.
How customers sign in
There's no password and nothing for you to set up per customer. Send your customer the portal address:
https://www.engineeros.uk/portal/login
- They enter their email address and click Send sign-in link.
- They get an email with a sign-in link. The link works once and expires after 60 minutes.
- Clicking it signs them in for 30 days on that device, or until they click Log out.
Only the customer's primary contact can sign in. The email they type must match the contact marked as primary on their customer record in Engineer OS. If they don't receive a link, check that:
- they're the primary contact on the customer record
- the email address on the contact is spelled exactly as they're typing it
- they've checked their spam folder
For privacy, the sign-in screen shows the same message whether or not the email is recognised.
If someone is the primary contact for customers at more than one company using Engineer OS, they get a separate sign-in link for each.
What customers can see and do
Dashboard: their outstanding balance, quotes waiting for a reply, and upcoming jobs.
Quotes: every quote you've sent them, with line items and totals.
- Accept or Reject a quote that's been sent and hasn't expired. The status updates in Engineer OS immediately, but you won't get an email, so keep an eye on Quotes.
Invoices: sent, partially paid and paid invoices, including the due date, payments received, what's still outstanding and your notes.
- Customers can't pay by card in the portal. They pay the way they normally do, using the payment details on the invoice.
Jobs: their jobs with the reference, title, status, scheduled date and site address. Internal notes and engineer names aren't shown. Certificates, forms and photos aren't shown in the portal yet, so send those as you do today.
Drafts, voided invoices and old versions of revised quotes are never shown to customers.
Removing someone's access
To stop someone signing in, change the primary contact on the customer record, or change or remove that contact's email address. They won't be able to request new sign-in links.
Anyone already signed in stays signed in until their 30-day session ends. If you need someone's access removed immediately, email support@engineeros.uk.
