Install Engineer OS on your phone
Add Engineer OS to your home screen on iPhone or Android for one-tap access and push notifications.

Engineer OS installs straight from the browser, there's nothing to find in the App Store or Play Store. Installed, it gets its own icon, opens full screen, and can send push notifications when you're assigned a job.
iPhone (Safari)
- Open your company's address in Safari (e.g.
yourcompany.engineeros.uk) and sign in. - Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow, bottom centre).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The Engineer OS icon appears on your home screen.
Note: this only works from Safari, not from Chrome on iPhone.
Android (Chrome)
- Open your company's address in Chrome and sign in.
- Either tap the Install prompt that appears, or open the ⋮ menu and tap Add to Home screen / Install app.
- Confirm. The icon appears like any other app.
Turn on notifications
Open the installed app, go to your profile, and enable notifications when prompted. You'll then get a push when a job is assigned to you or updated. If you said no by accident, enable notifications for the app in your phone's settings and try again.
On iPhone, notifications only work from the installed home-screen app, not from Safari, so install first.
Working with poor signal
The installed app keeps its shell cached, so it opens instantly even on a weak connection. You still need some signal to load fresh job data and to submit forms and photos; if an upload fails in a dead spot, it will tell you rather than silently losing your work, and you can retry when you're back in coverage.
